I’m Abi - a UK-born kiwi currently living in London. I love fashion - looking at it, reading about it, talking about it and, why The Buzz was created, writing about it.
I first found fashion aged 14, when I purchased the February 2010 issue of Elle UK magazine. The magazine was about 2 months out of date because they only get to New Zealand once they’re no longer relevant, of course. Natalie Portman was on the cover and she talked about how loving clothes and being capable of original thought shouldn’t be disparate. As the world of fashion was revealed to me through the many monthly out of date magazines, it was clear that the people in the fashion world were not vapid robots bopping from one trend to another; they were, without sounding too much like Emily from The Devil Wears Prada, creating thoughtful, meaningful, beautiful art.
While by no means a fashion expert, I want to write about what I see in fashion - probably a bit waffly and definitely a bit dreamy, but hopefully always with a bit of a buzz.
