The Canadian wireless carrier Rogers Wireless announced on 7th April, 09 that it is launching two Android phones in June, the HTC Dream and HTC Magic. No pricing details were present at the time of publication of this blog entry.

No dates have been confirmed as to when the over-the-air updates will be sent out by T-Mobile yet but rumours are that it will be end of the week ending 9th May, 09.

The features the new 1.5 update will include are:

• An on-screen full QWERTY keyboard
• Video recording and playback
• Easy uploading of photos to Google Inc.’s Picasa photo site and videos to YouTube

Other Android phones are coming soon, including the two by HTC expected in Canada from Rogers Wireless, with Motorala Inc. is expected to launch several models with the Android OS.

Google has once again stunned the global community by coming up with a revolutionary OS which gives people access to the bulk of their services. It remains to be seen if Android can compete with Symbian and Windows Mobile, but as for now the sales figures state that users have been quick to adpot the new OS with open arms
